On April 17, 2023, the Faculty of International Law at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, in collaboration with the Vietnam Society of Construction Law (SCLVN) and in partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), successfully organized the Ho Chi Minh International Construction Arbitration Conference (HICAC). The event was supported by Dzungsrt & Associates, J.S. Held, King & Spalding, ACSV Legal, DL & Partners, Rajah & Tann, and others. The conference brought together speakers who are experts in construction law and arbitration from around the world.
Lawrel is extremely honored that Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a legal counsel at our firm, was entrusted with the role of coordinator for Session B1: “How Technology Can Assist Parties and Arbitrators in Construction Arbitration.” Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa is currently a lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Society of Construction Law, and a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction, a Scopus Q1-ranked journal (2020 – 2022). Furthermore, Dr. Hoa has authored numerous international journal articles and papers for international conferences in the fields of construction and arbitration. In addition to her extensive research experience, Dr. Hoa is also known as a seasoned practitioner in construction law and public investment, with nine years of experience as a legal specialist at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice and one year at the Romes & Associes Law Firm in Paris, France.
