On April 18, 2023, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a legal counsel at Lawrel Law Firm, presented at the conference on “Artificial Intelligence and Vietnam’s Energy Transition,” organized by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2). PECC2 is one of Vietnam’s leading brands in energy consulting, with nearly 40 years of operation and a portfolio of over 100 large-scale power source projects and hundreds of power grid projects nationwide. At the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa delivered a presentation on “Legal Liability of Parties Involved in AI Application – The Current State of Vietnamese Law and International Experience for the Government and Enterprises.” In her presentation, Dr. Hoa discussed the responsibilities of various parties, including manufacturers, product/service providers, and users, in the application of AI. Furthermore, she referenced the laws of the EU, Japan, the US, the UK, Australia, and India to provide a comprehensive perspective and offer recommendations for Vietnam’s legal framework.
